Teaching, mentoring, and helping others have always been central to my professional journey. Whether educating pharmacy students, patients or their families, I have found great fulfillment in helping others learn, grow and reach their full potential.

After developing overuse injury from years of computer-intensive work related to my pharmacy career, I decided to pursue a path more closely aligned with my passion for teaching and nurturing young children. This passion led to the creation of Curiosity Villa Learning Center.

At Curiosity Villa Learning Center, I am committed to providing a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Our mission is to foster curiosity, confidence, creativity, kindergarten readiness, and a love for Jesus while helping each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

I am especially passionate about STEM education and believe children learn best through hands-on exploration and discovery. By encouraging creativity, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills, I hope to inspire every child to develop a love for science, technology, engineering, mathematics at an early age and set them up for success. I consider it an honor to partner with your families in nurturing, curious, confident and compassionate learners who will thrive in school and life. Owner and Director

Welcome, I am Abena Ayim Bediako, Owner and Director of Curiosity Villa Learning Center Family Child Care. I am married and a mother of two , a 17-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. I hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and bring over 23 years of healthcare experience. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity of caring for patients both in community and hospital settings including training and caring for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) and Pediatric Units. These experiences strengthened my commitment to serving children and supporting their growth, development, and well-being. I am certified in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and First Aid.
